Защитава ОНС “доктор” в Институт по обща генетика „Н.И.Вавилов“, РАН, Москва по специалност “Генетика”. Работи в Тракийски университет от 1994 г. Специализира в Международния институт по аграрни науки „Екологичен мениджмънт на природните ресурси“ Ханя, Гърция.
