Language practice of foreign students studying Bulgarian language at Trakia University
On November 27 and 28, a language practice was held for foreigners studying Bulgarian at Trakia University in Historical Park, Neofit Rilski village, region. Varna.
Twenty young people from Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Ireland, Russia and Canada, accompanied by their teachers - Olga Georgieva and Sevdalina Ivanova, were immersed in Bulgarian history, way of life and culture from prehistoric times to the late Middle Ages. Greeted by the colossal statues of the Asenevtsi brothers and sent by Spartak, the young people continued to the unique "Rosarium" in the village of Neofit Rilski, where they were given a talk about the incredible properties of Bulgarian roses and herbs. The technology of gilding herbs and plants is demonstrated, illustrated in over 40 gilded exhibits.
During the tourist tour of the village, the foreigners and their teachers were introduced to the specifics of the architectural styles from the time of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, embedded in the construction of the local infrastructure. Guest speaker Plamen Kanchev offered future graduates an unconventional approach to managing their personal finances, presenting a technique from ancient Babylon for future entrepreneurs. All students and their teachers received a gift book from the publishing house of Historical Park with the warm recommendation from Mr. Kanchev to love reading, read in Bulgarian and learn the new language more easily.
