Българските докторанти, обучаващи се в Република България на места, субсидирани от държавата, получават месечни стипендии в размер на 1227 лв.

The scholarship is awarded for 3 years for full-time doctoral studies after obtaining a master's degree.

In case of extension of the doctoral term, the scholarship is not paid.

Doctoral students in full-time doctoral studies receive an additional one-time scholarship in the following cases:

– при положително решение на съвета на първичното звено за готовността за защита пред научно жури в рамките на тригодишния срок на обучение – в размер 1227 лв.;

– при успешна защита на дисертационния труд в срок до една година след завършване на тригодишния срок на обучение – в размер 1227 лв.

Foreign doctoral students and postgraduate students receive a scholarship until the end of the month in which the doctoral / specialization term expires. They do not receive a scholarship when extending the term of doctoral studies and for the time when they are not in the Republic of Bulgaria, except for the cases provided in the curriculum or individual training plan.
