Дейността на отдел "Научна дейност" е свързана с:

Organization, preparation, and conduct of competitions for the allocation of targeted subsidies from the Ministry of Education and Science for the inherent scientific research activities of the university.

Preparation of reports on R&D projects annually, as well as when additional reports and references are needed.

Organization and conduct of university-level scientific forums.

Technical preparation, prepress, and complete publication of the Trakia Journal of Sciences – a publication of Trakia University.

Organization of the activities of the Publishing Council at the University.

Preparation of announcements for competitions (habilitation, assistants, lecturers, honorary positions) and ensuring their publication in the State Gazette, central daily newspapers, and on the university's website.

Preparation of orders for: scientific juries in competitions for academic positions and evaluation of dissertations; approval of the selection of the candidate who has won the competition and other documentation related to the Rules for the Organization of Scientific Research and Technological Development Activities.

Participation in the preparation of diplomas for appointment to academic positions and acquired scientific degrees, as well as maintaining a register for them.

Organizing timely processing of current correspondence (preparing references, information, surveys, reports, etc.) and ensuring their submission within the specified deadlines.

Organizing and participating in meetings of the Academic Ethics Commission at TrU.

Managing and archiving correspondence with the Ministry of Education and other institutions.
