Thrace University - Stara Zagora will partner with the first veterinary educational institution in the world "VetAgro Sup" - Lion The rector of the University of Thrace - Stara Zagora, Prof. Dr. Dobri Yarkov, accompanied by the dean's leadership of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the oldest veterinary educational institution in the world, which was established in the French city of Lyon in 1762 by Claude Bourgeola.

Nowadays, the faculty is united with an agricultural institute under the common structure Vet Agro Sup, located 12 km from Lyon.

The guests from France - Stephane Waxeler - Chief of Staff of the General Director of Vet Agro Sup, Caroline PRUILLAC - Deputy Dean, Director of Education and Cédric COLMAR - Director of Partnerships, International and European Affairs visited the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and had the opportunity to get to know the activity of the University of Thrace. They shared that they are fascinated by the opportunities, training and practice provided by the Staro Zagora University and see a good future partnership, considering the number of specialties in which the two higher institutions can exchange experience.

The memorandum between Thrace University and Vet Agro Sup is based on the following key points: · Cooperation within joint research projects; · Exchange of students and academic staff;
