CURED BIRDS AND ANIMALS AT LIBERTY Dr. Rusko Petrov, head of the "Green Balkans" Rescue Center, his colleagues and students of veterinary medicine, released cured hedgehogs, veiled owls, white-tailed and common buzzards into the wild. This happened in the area of the Student Town in Stara Zagora, in the area of the Trakia University, where the birds and animals will very quickly return to their natural habitats.

The release of cured patients, saved by good people from all over the country, is already a tradition for "Green Balkans". The exciting moment of opening the cages, of a final check on the condition of the birds and animals is always in the presence of children, who very deeply and emotionally experience this moment. For many of them, this memory remains for a lifetime and is one of the reasons for devoting themselves to veterinary medicine or other natural sciences.
