GERMAN PROFESSOR GIVES PERSONAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO TWO STUDENTS

Two personal scholarships for students were awarded by the great specialist and friend of Thrace University, Prof. Dr. Alexander Starke, director of the Clinic for Ruminants and Pigs at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Leipzig, Germany.

The pleasant surprise happened during the 4th educational congress of the Bulgarian Veterinary Union (BVS) with international participation, in which nearly 50 students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Thrace University in Stara Zagora participated for the first time. This became possible thanks to Prof. Iliya Tsachev, head of the Department of "Veterinary Microbiology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases" and Dr. Dimitar Yanovski, Deputy Chairman of the BVS.

At the end of the second congress day, the guest speaker Prof. Alexander Starke announced to the nearly 500 congress participants that he was impressed by the large presence of students from Thrace University and would award two scholarships for a three-month internship at his clinic in Leipzig.

. Luck smiled on Katrin Popova from the 4th year and Ivana-Antonia from the 5th year.

Katrin is from Kazanlak, played volleyball, basketball, martial art jiu jitsu, was a volunteer at the "Green Balkans" Wild Animal Rescue Center.

We have specially told about the excellent student Ivana-Antonia from Asenovgrad, but we remind you that thanks to the European program "Erasm+" she was studying in Giessen, and now she will carry out her pre-graduate internship under the guidance of Prof. Starke in Leipzig.
