The Faculty of Engineering and Technology – Yambol will bring together scientists from 10 countries at the ICTTE 2025 International Conference

Факултет „Техника и технологии“ – Ямбол ще събере учени от 10 държави на Международната конференция ICTTE 2025

From 12 to 14 November 2025, the city of Yambol will host the International Scientific Conference “Technics, Technologies and Education” (ICTTE 2025). The forum is organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology – Yambol at Trakia University – Stara Zagora and has been held annually since 2013.

The honorary chair of the organizing committee is Prof. Miroslav Karabaliev, rector of Trakia University in Stara Zagora.

The conference is co-organized by the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria – Yambol Branch, the Balkan Association of Textile Engineers (BASTE), and the Academic Community on Computer Systems and Information Technologies (ACCSIT).

ICTTE 2025 will bring together scholars, lecturers, researchers, doctoral students, students, and representatives of the business sector from Bulgaria and abroad. Participants will share the results of their scientific research and discuss opportunities for collaboration in the fields of engineering, technology, and technical education.

More than 60 research papers will be presented, authored by participants from Bulgaria, Albania, Germany, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey, Croatia, and Ukraine.

The official opening of the conference will take place on November 13, 2025, at the "Bezisten" Cultural and Information Center in Yambol.

A plenary report will be presented by Prof. Totyo Totev on "Contemporary Challenges Facing Energy Technologies in Bulgaria."

As part of the forum, a roundtable discussion titled “The application of immersive technologies in engineering education” will also be held, where results from the project “Metaverse Approach for a New Generation of Engineering Education and Collaborative Learning – MAGURA” will be presented.

The meetings by thematic areas will be held at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology – Yambol.

The reports accepted after review will be published in the faculty's scientific journal – ARTTE: Applied Researches in Technics, Technologies and Education.

During the conference, new laboratories will also be opened and presented under Project BG-RRP-2.004-0006-C02 “Development of research and innovation at Trakia University in service of health and sustainable well-being.”

From November 12, the Faculty will host an exhibition of works by students and lecturers from the Wearable Art course, implemented as part of the TexUnite international project.

The scientific forum will conclude with a Balkan student festival organized by the Balkan Association of Textile Engineers (BASTE), which will bring together young artists and researchers from the region.
