Description
The specialty "Kinesitherapy" is a regulated profession by a professional Public Health. Those who have acquired an educational qualification Bachelor's degree in Kinesitherapy are professionally qualified "Kinesitherapist", educational qualification degree "master" after obtaining Bachelor's degree in Kinesitherapy have a professional qualification "Master of Kinesitherapy". Training in the specialty "Kinesitherapy" for educational and qualification The bachelor's degree is held on a regular basis and lasts for four academic years, corresponding to eight semesters. The training includes theoretical and practical training. The theoretical training is carried out through compulsory, elective and optional courses disciplines in the form of lectures and exercises with a total duration of seven semester. The practical training is carried out through clinical practice, summer clinical practice and undergraduate internship. Building the professional competencies of students includes in-depth medico-biological and theoretical knowledge of the structure of the human body and its functions; changes in the structure and functions of individual bodies and systems; functional diagnostics of ODA and various systems, application of specialized and highly specialized methods of kinesitherapy; The formation of special skills and competencies is carried out through compiling and conducting a kinesitherapy program; performing rehabilitation measures in the recovery of the patient: performing preventive activities in children and adult patients; participation in resocialization of people with permanent disabilities and development of communication skills and competencies in working with the patient and his family
Realization
Opportunities for professional realization include all structures of outpatient and inpatient medical care: offices and specialized rehabilitation centers; diagnostic-consultation centers / DCC /; balneotherapy establishments; resort centers; social homes for children and adults; specialized practices; in a team with the GP and other specialists; hospices; fitness centers; beauty centers; specialized physiotherapy rooms for children and adult patients; SPA and wellness centers and spa hotels.

Exam and application fees
Application fees for the academic year 2024/2025.
За първи изпит/тест таксата за кандидатстване е 60 лв. За всеки следващ изпит/тест е 55 лв.
The competition fee is waived for:
a/ persons with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity of 70 per cent or more - certified by a decision of the TELK;
b/ round orphans up to the age of 25 years in the year of application - evidenced by the death certificates of the parents and the identity card of the prospective student.
c/ persons who, at the time of reaching the age of majority, are subject to a protection measure under the Child Protection Act - placement in a foster family, a residential social service or a specialized institution - certified by an official note from the respective home;
d/ war invalids and war victims;
e/ mothers (fathers) with three or more children - children's birth certificates and parent's ID card must be presented.
Twins pay half the fee when they both apply to TRU - birth certificates must be presented.
