The master's program in "Production of sowing and planting material" is based on the knowledge gained during the training of the educational qualification degree "Bachelor" in Plant Breeding. The training is aimed at acquiring new profiling knowledge and skills in the field of production and procurement for trade, storage, packaging, labeling, import, export and control of seeds and planting material of agricultural plants. Specialists who have completed the program will be able to: organize and carry out production of sowing and planting material from the main agricultural plants grown in the Republic of Bulgaria; to carry out field inspections in order to certify certain categories of seed as field inspectors; to manage or work in laboratories for determining the sowing qualities of the seeds for the purpose of certification; under certain conditions to perform variety maintenance of varieties and parental components of agricultural plant species; to prepare and trade in sowing and planting material of the types of agricultural plants; to consult as experts producers and traders of sowing and planting material; to participate in scientific experiments and to interpret their results at the expert level.
