Description
The Master's program in "Breeding" is a necessary addition to the regular course in Horse breeding with a Bachelor's degree, providing more information and training for professionals working in stud farms and stud farms. The included methodological units in Genetics, Breeding, Reproduction and Nutrition are an extended version of the ones studied in the lower qualification degree and are specifically focused in the field of Horse Breeding. The methodological units on the Biological Basis of the Horse have been developed in detail, which include a more specific focus on the specific features of the horse in the morphological and physiological direction. A novelty to the program is the discipline Protection and welfare of horses, which is in line with modern requirements in animal husbandry.
Realization
Graduates of the program acquire the skills of specialists in the field of pedigree horse breeding and can successfully manage breeding herds in horse farms, breeding farms, as well as work as specialists in the structures of the EAAF, the National Horse Breeding Association and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

The competition fee is waived for:
a/ persons with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity of 70 per cent or more - certified by a decision of the TELK;
b/ round orphans up to the age of 25 years in the year of application - evidenced by the death certificates of the parents and the identity card of the prospective student.
c/ persons who, at the time of reaching the age of majority, are subject to a protection measure under the Child Protection Act - placement in a foster family, a residential social service or a specialized institution - certified by an official note from the respective home;
d/ war invalids and war victims;
e/ mothers (fathers) with three or more children - children's birth certificates and parent's ID card must be presented.
Twins pay half the fee when they both apply to TRU - birth certificates must be presented.
