Students of the Medical College at Thrace University participated in a series of initiatives of SNC "Diabetes" Stara Zagora, organized on the occasion of November 14 - World Diabetes Day. The campaign is part of the joint events of the educational institution and the association, dedicated to the early detection of the insidious disease.

The first of the series of events this year was held in the pensioner's club of the Kolyo Ganchev district, where students from the "Medical Laboratory Technician" major took an active part in measuring blood sugar and blood pressure of the elderly people from the neighborhood. More than 70 people were able to take advantage of the free screening, the aim of which is the prevention and diagnosis of diabetes at the earliest possible stage.

The culmination of the joint campaign of the Diabetes Center and the Medical College will take place on November 14. In the time range from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a special corner for measuring blood sugar will be set aside in front of the Stara Zagora Municipality. All residents and guests of the city will be able to benefit from the free screening.
