The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme “Hands-On Vet Week: Obstetrics, Surgery & Wildlife Medicine”, organized by Trakia University – Stara Zagora and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, concluded successfully with active participation and positive feedback.
As part of the program, students, doctoral candidates, and lecturers from Romania, Spain, and Turkey participated in practical training in obstetrics, surgery, and wildlife medicine, hands-on activities at the Vet-Sim Center, clinical demonstrations, and visits to university facilities and cultural sites.
The participants shared highly positive impressions of both the academic program and the organization and atmosphere at Trakia University. They also actively participated in the intercultural event “The Academic Family of Trakia University – A Celebration of Cultural Diversity,” where they presented traditional national dishes, cultures, and customs from their respective countries.
At the end of the program, all participants received certificates from Assoc. Prof. Gabriela Kiryakova, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, confirming the successful completion of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), certifying their active participation and the acquisition of 3 ECTS credits.
The initiative was hosted by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Trakia University, with Chief Assistant Prof. Dr. Georgi Terziev serving as the faculty coordinator. The program was carried out during the period 4–15 May 2026, including both virtual and on-site components.
