At Trakia University – Stara Zagora, a round table was held on the topic “The Quality of Practical Training of Future Teachers – An Arena of Professional Endeavors and Perspectives”, initiated by the Rector, Prof. Miroslav Karabaliev. The event brought together directors of institutions within the preschool and school education system in the region, representatives of the academic community, and local authorities. Among the official guests were Prof. Tsvetoslav Kojnarski – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Nikolay Tsankov – Vice-Rector for Quality, Accreditation and Postgraduate Qualification, Mrs. Milena Yoldova – Head of the Regional Department of Education in Stara Zagora, Mrs. Stanimira Slavcheva Dimitrova – Head of the Department of Education and Youth Activities at Stara Zagora Municipality, as well as representatives of the Faculty of Education and the Department for Information and Teacher Training Qualification Enhancement.

The discussion focused on the importance of practical training as a key factor for the professional development of future teachers. It was emphasized that the interaction between university education and real educational practice in base institutions is crucial for building competent and competitive specialists. The participants highlighted the need to overcome existing challenges in the organization and implementation of teaching practice, outlining various approaches to improving the process.

The round table created a space for sharing valuable experience and for formulating joint solutions that would contribute to a more effective partnership between Trakia University, schools, kindergartens in the region, and professional communities. In this context, strategies for sustainable development and for ensuring high quality in teacher training were discussed, aimed at providing a modern and adequate educational environment.

The forum demonstrated that achieving high standards in teacher education requires integrated efforts and lasting cooperation among all stakeholders, thereby creating a solid foundation for the preparation of future generations of teachers.
