INFORMATION DAY ON EUROPEAN PROJECT 4DCULTURE

On March 9, 2023, an Information Day on the European project 4DCulture was held at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Yambol. Thrace University is a project partner through the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Prof. Zlatina Kazlacheva, head of the Bulgarian team, introduced the guests to the main goal, activities and intellectual results. The aim of the project is to use digitization to access the cultural heritage - traditional costumes and folk dances. An information portal, e-book, "Folklorpedia" database, virtual platform for visualization with virtual reality, MOOC training courses are being developed. The participants in the Information Day were greeted by Prof. Vanya Stoikova, dean of FTT - Yambol. Ethnographer Dinka Angelova presented traditional costumes in the Yambol region. Prof. Kazlacheva presented the training course (MOOC) "Traditional costumes as part of the cultural heritage". Prof. Zlatin Zlatev and Prof. Stanka Baicheva presented the folk dances from Thrace and the possibilities for their digitization. The information day ended with a presentation of the application of elements, shapes and ornaments from folk costumes in textile, fashion design and applied art with authors Dr. Žulieta Ilieva, Dr. Petya Dineva, Prof. Kazlacheva, and scenographer Petko Naydenov.
