Language practice of foreign students studying Bulgarian language at Trakia University
The annual language practice of international students from the Center for Language and Specialized Training of Foreign Citizens at Trakia University – Stara Zagora was held today (May 18) in Nessebar.
The initiative involved students from the three preparatory groups studying Bulgarian and English at the university. The two Bulgarian language groups are taught by Olga Georgieva and Sevdalina Ivanova, while the English language group is led by Yanka Ivanova.
The young participants are from Greece, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Turkey, China, India, and Ethiopia. As part of the practice, they had the opportunity to combine language learning with direct exposure to Bulgarian history, culture, and architecture.
During their visit, the students became acquainted with the rich history of the Old Town of Nessebar, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. They explored the preserved ancient and medieval monuments, learned more about the development of the ancient city throughout different historical periods, and experienced the distinctive architecture and cultural atmosphere of the seaside town.
The language practice is a traditional part of the educational process at the Center for Language and Specialized Training of Foreign Citizens and aims to support students’ adaptation through practical activities in a real linguistic and cultural environment.
