Quality Policy of Trakia University

The primary goal of Trakia University – Stara Zagora is to establish the university as a center for development of education and scientific activities at a modern level, in line with the requirements set by our membership in the European Community.
Core commitments for the Management of Trakia University – Stara Zagora, are satisfying the requirements of the BDS EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, continual improvement of the effectiveness of the quality management system, and adherence to applicable regulatory documents.
Accreditation

With regard to accreditation activities, Trakia University carries out the following tasks:

  • Preparation of documentation and initiation of procedures for the accreditation of new professional fields and academic programs;
  • Preparation of documentation and initiation of procedures for the accreditation of new Bachelor's, Professional Bachelor's, and Master's degree programs within already accredited professional fields;
  • Preparation of documentation and initiation of procedures for the accreditation of new doctoral programs;
  • Implementation of accreditation procedures for professional fields and programs in regulated professions, according to the accreditation schedule (expiration of accreditation period);
  • Implementation of accreditation procedures for doctoral programs, according to the accreditation schedule (expiration of accreditation period);
  • Procedures related to SANK (the National System for Assessment and Accreditation Quality Control).
Student Evaluation of Teaching Quality

The Student Evaluation of Teaching Quality at Trakia University is a regular process conducted twice a year. The main objectives of the survey are as follows:

  • To provide feedback from students to the Rectorate, Faculty and College leadership, as well as to each individual lecturer, regarding students’ opinions on the quality of teaching in all courses across the university’s academic programs;
  • To support the work of faculty evaluation committees, as the individual results for each lecturer contribute to the overall assessment in the academic staff appraisal process;
  • As an integral part of the university’s quality assurance system, to establish a reliable foundation for effective management decisions and enable lecturers’ self-monitoring on issues related to teaching quality.
