The official opening of the academic year, including the formal welcome from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the distribution of student books, will take place at:

Please note that all students are expected to attend their scheduled practical classes from the morning onwards, according to the official academic timetable.

We are pleased to invite all first-year students to join the official university opening ceremony and celebrate the beginning of this exciting new chapter of their academic journey!

Tuition Fees and Academic Requirements for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

Dear Students,

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) hereby informs all students of the following important requirements concerning the 2026/2027 academic year.

1. Beginning of the Academic Year and Tuition Fee Deadline

The 2026/2027 academic year begins on September 14, 2026.

The deadline for payment of the semester tuition fee for the Winter Semester is September 14, 2026.

Students are kindly requested to ensure that the required payment is completed within the specified deadline.

2. Tuition Fee

The tuition fee is €6,350 per academic year, payable in two equal installments:

€3,175 per semester
€6,350 per academic year

3. Bank Account for Tuition Fee Payments

Payment Reference / Reason for Payment:
Students must include their Faculty/Student Number as the payment reference when making the bank transfer. This is essential so that the Accounting Office can correctly identify the student and allocate the payment to the appropriate student account.

Students are advised to retain the payment confirmation as proof of payment.

4. Late Payment and Suspension of Enrollment

Payment of the semester tuition fee after the beginning of the semester will only be possible with prior written authorization from the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

This exception may be granted no later than October 14, 2026.

Students who fail to pay the semester tuition fee within the established deadline will have their enrollment suspended in accordance with the applicable University regulations.

Students who have more than three unpassed examinations at the beginning of the academic year are also subject to suspension of their enrollment in accordance with the applicable academic regulations.

5. Applicable University Regulations

The academic requirements and administrative procedures are governed by the Rules for Educational Activities of Trakia University, available here:

It is important to emphasize that the University administration is not introducing new rules or requirements. The purpose is solely to ensure the strict, consistent, and fair implementation of the regulations already in force.

Under the applicable regulations, students are required to pay their semester tuition fees before the beginning of the respective semester. Payment of the semester tuition fee is also a prerequisite for certain administrative procedures, including enrollment in a higher academic year and the issuance of official student certificates, including documents required for accommodation in student residences.

6. Students in 4th and 5th Year

Students in 4th and 5th year must complete and obtain certification for their summer practical training and internship.

After receiving the required certification, they must:

Submit their student books to the FVM Academic Affairs Office, Room 589.
Subsequently obtain their semester enrollment stamp in Room 397.

Students are requested to complete these administrative requirements promptly after receiving the relevant certification.

Important Reminders

All students are strongly advised to ensure that:

The semester tuition fee is paid by September 14, 2026.
Their Faculty/Student Number is included as the payment reference so that the Accounting Office can correctly identify the payment.
They have no more than three unpassed examinations at the beginning of the academic year.
Students in 4th and 5th year complete and obtain certification for their summer practical training/internship.
Students in 4th and 5th year submit their student books to the FVM Academic Affairs Office, Room 589, and subsequently obtain their semester enrollment stamp in Room 397.
All required academic, practical training, financial, and administrative obligations are fulfilled within the established deadlines.

Уведомяваме ви, че срокът за заплащане на семестриалната такса за зимния семестър на учебната 2026/2027 година е до 14.09.2026 г.

Моля да имате предвид, че заплащане на семестриална такса след започване на семестъра е възможно само след писмено разрешение от декана на ВМФ. Това изключение се допуска не по-късно от 14.10.2026 г.

Студентите незаплатили семестриалната такса в срок ще прекъснат своето обучение.

За студентите от 4-ти и 5-ти курс е необходимо, след получаване на заверка за проведената лятна практика и стаж, да предоставят студентските книжки в Учебен отдел на ВМФ – стая 583.

Ликвидационната изпитна сесия ще се проведе в периода от 26 август 2026 г. до 9 септември 2026 г. включително. 7 септември 2026 г. е неработен ден, затова в този ден няма да се провеждат изпити.

За информация относно точните дати, часове и зали на отделните изпити, трябва да проверите:

съобщенията на съответните катедри в Moodle, или
обявите на място в университета.

The make-up examination session will be held from August 26, 2026, to September 9, 2026, inclusive. September 7, 2026, is a public holiday/non-working day; therefore, no examinations will be conducted on that date.

After successfully passing both state exams, please prepare and submit the following:

Three passport-sized photographs (35 × 45 mm)
The completed checklist
A copy of your ID card or passport

Checklist completion instructions:

Library: Visit the Academic Information Center (new library).
Accounting Office: Obtain the required stamp on the 3rd floor, office 392.
Student Dormitories: Receive the signature and stamp from Mrs. Ivelina Alexandrova at the Admission Office.
Erasmus+ Office: Contact Mr. Alexander Genov for verification.
