The mission of the Career Development Center (CDC) is to provide high quality career counseling services to students to assist their transition from education to successful career. The CCC mediates the search and placement process by providing information on job vacancies and internship programmes, training and information on the latest labour market trends.

The Career Development Centre is also a link between TRU and business representatives. The CDC effectively partners with employers by assisting in the selection processes of students for internship positions and jobs. The CDC assists in facilitating communication between business and academia, helping to infuse modern business practices and knowledge into university programs.

Its main areas of activity are: information, career counselling, training in effective job search strategies, working with employers, marketing activities and administration.

The Information and Computer Centre (CICO) provides connection and service between the main units of the University by unifying and managing their computer networks.

Thracian University has a symmetric channel with 100% guaranteed capacity with no less than 1 Gbit/s international traffic available in Sudentski grad. All units and departments of the University within the city are included.

CICO provides:

• Maintenance of application software servers - specialized information system for the needs of veterinary clinics, specialized software for training and testing in veterinary surgery, document management software (clerical), integrated university information system covering all activities related to teaching and research work at TRU.

• Maintaining a web-server with the university's internet portal - up-to-date information about the university and all units, periodic information about current events, conferences and announcements, maintaining student admissions and publishing comprehensive information during admissions, etc.;

• Maintaining the electronic register of students and lecturers, coordinating with the Ministry of Education and preparing the information for the national register;

• Maintaining the electronic register of documents issued by TRU, coordinating with the Ministry of Education and preparing the information for the national register of higher education diplomas;

• Maintenance and administration of own servers - domain server, mail server, Thracian Electronic University (edu.uni-sz.bg), digital repository DSpace of TRU, physiology training system LabTutor, server for the needs of the National Center for Vocational Training and Competence "America for Bulgaria", virtual servers for all major international projects at the university, etc.

• Fixed furnishing of all lecture halls with multimedia equipment.

• Daily work on maintenance of the network, equipment, new users for e-mail, continuous expansion of the network, raising the process of training and research work to the level of modern information technology.

TRU is part of the project i-zonewhich aims to stimulate the use of wireless technologies by students and teachers in higher education institutions. Currently, such devices have been installed in 6 locations on campus - the forum area in front of the central portal, the courtyard, the area in front of the veterinary clinics where there are on-call doctors available around the clock, the large halls 1, 2 and 3 and the foyer in front of them. As covering the entire campus does not involve significant financial resources, the addition of new areas will be done gradually over time.

More than 1550 workplaces are currently covered by a computer network with 24-hour Internet access.

On the territory of Trakia University - Student Town a new GEPON-type Internet network was built, which provides high-speed Internet access to about 950 computers, as well as ensures the operation of the new Integrated Information System.

The issue of providing modern information services and communications is of paramount importance for the future development of the University of Thrace, for the realization of the goals and tasks set by the high demands placed on the institution. It should be considered as a priority when defining the strategy.

The Centre for Electronic and Distance Learning (CEDL) is an administrative structural unit within the Trakia University - Stara Zagora.

Институтът разработва, усъвършенства и прилага научни и технологични подходи за постигане на трансформация на аграрния сектор в България. Основната цел е да се осигури висок икономически резултат и да подсигурява сигурността в продоволствието. Новосформираното звено играе стратегическа роля в намирането на иновационни и съвременни решения за предизвикателствата и проблемите към аграрния сектор в България. Института разработва експертни анализи, стратегии, научно-обосновани политики и други рамкови документи, чиято цел е да стимулират устойчив растеж с по-силна и по-тясна интеграция на заинтересованите страни в агробизнеса. Институт за продоволствена сигурност е с ръководител проф. дн Илин Александров Савов.

Илин Александров Савов е професор, доктор и доктор на науките в направление “Национална сигурност”. През 2000 г. започва своята професионална кариера като разузнавач в службите за сигурност на Република България. От 2019 г. до декември 2023 г. е служител на МВР на академична длъжност професор на редовен щат във факултет „Полиция“, катедра „Оперативно-издирвателна дейност“ в Академията на МВР. От 2022 г. до декември 2023 г. е комисар, заместник-ректор на Академията на МВР. Обучава разследващи полицаи и оперативни работинци в струкутрите за противодействие на престъпността в Латвия, Литва, Естония, Чехия, Полша, Румъния, Гърция и в други държави.

Многократно награждаван за постигнати високи резултати в учебно-преподавателската и научната дейност, за съществен принос при изпълнение на служебните задължения, както и за високи резултати в сферата на противодействие на престъпността и защита на националната сигурност.

Придобива професионални квалификации и специализации в областта на европейското правоприлагане, противодействие на престъпността и защита на сигурността в редица държави: Холандия; Австрия; Финландия; Словения; Италия; Румъния; Исландия; Унгария; Португалия; Република Чехия; Франция; Естония; Литва, Гърция; Германия; Латвия; Полша; Дубай, Абу Даби – Обединени арабски емирства и др.

Илин Савов е утвърден експерт по проблемите на националната и международната сигурност, както и по оперативно-издирвателните и оперативно-техническите дейности за защита от престъпни посегателства и прояви. Изнася редица доклади на престижни научни форуми в България и в чужбина. Научноизследователските му интереси са насочени в сферата на управлението и функционирането на службите за сигурност и МВР, продоволствената сигурност, киберсигурност, трафика на хора, миграционните процеси, използването и контрола на специални разузнавателни средства и трафичните данни в Република България, ЕС и САЩ. Член е на Съюза на учените в Република България и на Международната полицейска асоциация (IPA)
