Students from the Faculty of Medicine at Trakia University – Stara Zagora are organizing a charity initiative titled “Christmas from the Heart,” aimed at elderly people in disadvantaged situations from small settlements in the region. With the message “A hand that gives never grows poor,” they aim to bring not only material support, but also care, compassion, and love during the holiday season.

Their idea, with the support of local municipal offices, is for the students to identify people in need, and through the Stara Zagora Community Donation Fund to collect financial resources that will be used to purchase the products for the holiday packages. In the days leading up to Christmas, the volunteers will personally visit the elderly and deliver the packages, along with the warm message that they are not forgotten.

As part of the initiative, a charity CrossFit training session will be held on 13 December 2025 at 10:00 in the sports hall of the Faculty of Medicine – Stara Zagora. The entrance fee of 20 BGN will be donated to the campaign.
