On 24 September 2025 the meeting of the Academic Council of Trakia University - Stara Zagora started with the awarding of diplomas for the academic position "Professor" to Prof. Dr. Daniel Valchev (Faculty of Medicine), Prof. Dr. Diana Georgieva (Faculty of Education) and Prof. Dr. Elena Ilieva (Faculty of Medicine).
The members of the Council adopted the mandate programme of the Rector Prof. Dr. Miroslav Karabaliev for the period 2025-2027 and approved the updated composition of the university committees.
The Academic Council also adopted
current information on the progress of the admission campaign, which reports the state admission plan for 2025 amounting to 1,346 places, with 98 per cent fulfilled.
With the decisions taken, the Academic Council outlined the strategic priorities for the development of the University in the new term.
