Advanced Data Analysis in Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS):
Differential Impedance Analysis and its Applications for Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers Studies
H2START Center of Excellence is pleased to announce the performance of a specialized Master Class dedicated to advanced methods of electrochemical impedance analysis.
🎯 Purpose
This Master Class will provide participants with in-depth knowledge and hands-on understanding of Differential Impedance Analysis (DIA) – an innovative approach developed within the Bulgarian impedance school. DIA significantly expands the informational capabilities of EIS, enabling more precise identification of processes and mechanisms in complex electrochemical systems. It applies the structural identification approach, extracting from the measured impedance data both the structure and the parameters without the need of preliminary working hypothesis.
👩🏫 Lecturer
Prof. Dr. Sc. Daria Vladikova
Expert in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, with extensive research experience in hydrogen technologies, fuel cells, and electrolyzers.
📌 Topics Covered
- Principles of Differential Impedance Analysis (DIA)
- Parametric, temporal, and spectral approaches in DIA
- Secondary differential analysis: identification of frequency dependencies
- Modeling of systems containing Constant Phase Elements (CPE)
- Case studies and applications of DIA for fuel cells and electrolyzers, with emphasis on solid oxide systems
👥 Audience
The Master Class is intended for graduate and PhD students, young researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and specialists in the fields of:
